Everett and his many hats...

Everett LOVES to wear hats!  Typically, he prefers to wear his Daddy's hats, but does enjoy wearing the occassional hat that he finds while shopping.  These are only a few pictures of him wearing his many hats, and as you can see - he wears them every which way.  What can I say...Everett likes to express himself!

Grandma's Birthday

Today would be Everett's Grandmother's Birthday.  Though she is no longer with us, we celebrate her amazing life today.  Everett will always know his wonderful Grandma through the beautiful memories that we share with him. Happy Birthday Mom - we love you and miss you every day.

Winston's 8th Birthday!!!

Everett's four-legged brother Winston is celebrating his 8th Birthday today! 
Everett and Winston have had a very special relationship since the day that they met.  I can proudly say that Everett has never pulled Winston's tail or poked him in the eye, and I firmly believe that is why they are great friends!  :)
Winston would do anything for Everett, and as you can see from the picture, the feeling is mutual.  In fact, most nights when we are getting Everett ready for bed - we find Winston sitting right in front of his door to make sure we are all safe and protected.

Big Boy PJ's

Last night, we made another attempt to put Everett is his big boy pj's.  We like to get him excited about it, so that he wants to wear them instead of his sleepsack (we are trying to phase out the beloved sleepsacks).  We thought that these Spiderman pj's would get him in the spirit, and for a little while - they did. 

Life is a song

These days, everything you say to Everett will more than likely turn into a song.  He loves to sing at the top of his lungs, so any opportunity he has to do so, he takes it! 
Lately, we are practicing the art of clean up in our house.  For those who know me well, you know that this is an important learning exercise in our household. 
Everett has taken to this very well, and has actually turned it into a fun activity (not surprisingly).  So, now we have our "Clean Up" song.  Those who aren't familiar with what that is, it goes a little something like this...

Everybody do your share.
Listening to my 2 year old sing this song while putting away his things is truly priceless!  These are the moments that you want to capture and live in as much as you can.
